Unemployment rate is three times the national Australian rate.
Groceries cost approximately 65% more than in a city.
People are living 20 years less than the average Australian.
The community are in a perpetual state of trauma and loss caused by the devastating rate of deaths including premature deaths and suicides.

The Puuya Foundation believe that with tailored, strategic support, the people of Lockhart River will create a healthy, successful and sustainable future for their community, enriching lives in the process. Together, we are working to develop everyday leaders to empower the local community.

Your donation today will provide early education for children in Lockhart River. We run the only program for early learning in the community and we rely on donations to keep this service running.
